Otherwise, it has enough time to get a Shattered Psyche hit in, and then a chance to survive the poison long enough to get a regular Psychic off, depending on if Scald rolled low. Psychic KOing after residual damage from Shattered Psyche can KO, but it's not a good chance. Whether it does or not, Volcarona goes down to poison that turn.
But Toxapex doesn't usually run Baneful Bunker, if you do, you have to give up Haze or Toxic Spikes. If you give up Toxic Spikes, this situation with Volcarona doesn't happen and Toxapex goes down easily. If you give up Haze, I just bring in any other setup mon in and Toxapex is dealt with. Or, I could not be so stupid as to send my Volcarona out into rocks and toxic spikes to begin with, at least unless I knew you didn't have Baneful Bunker.
>>33620115Why is Volcarona using Giga Drain here exactly? +1 Volcarona outspeeds Mega Lopunny and OHKOs with Fire Blast after eating fake out. Fire Blast might miss, but it's better than ineptly chipping away with Giga Drain.
