>>33621850I always liked it from the get-go, but I'm an oldfag who remembers Fatchu, Potbellyzard, and even Blastoise somehow being even stockier than it is now and fanon then canon "fixing" them. Because of that, the proportion whines never bothered me and bipedal-ness never annoyed me either because then, say, random mons like Alakazam, Krookodile, and others should logically annoy me just as much. Incineroar is just Fire Tiger Starter to me and there's plenty of art of it being cat-like both in cutsey and more well-drawn stuff.
I'm glad you came to like it. Like I said, a lot more people seem to like it than back then and it's gotten a healthier push this gen via the movie than anyone should've reasonably expected, maybe the anime as well if Litten's arc sees the fidget spinner and old-ass production art blossom into reality.
Z-Move wise, I figure the Litten-Torracat spine flames evolve into an extreme version of oil wrestling, which in turn gets puts its entire body on fire for Flare Blitz and the Z-Move.
