Because he fucking made that shit on spot. After Mega Sharpedo it's obvious they don't care about the quality of the designs that much. They probably planned to save some of the highly demanded Megas for Z but then muh 20th anniversary happened.

Wow it's almost as if the majority of the fanbase lashed at GF for admitting that they considered giving Flygon a mega. It's almost as if the fanbase don't want Flygon to have a mega because it's shit and ugly. It's almost as if Flygon is unpopular and we don't want unpopular pokemon to have megas. It's almost as if giving Flygon a mega would infuriate the fanbase because it would basically be like spitting in their face about it. Who would have fucking thought?

Flygon is one of the best designs in the franchise though. Not too busy, not too simple either. It's a solid balanced design.
