I''l take that to mean "the best pokemon, but you added something unnecessary and I have to take it out to enjoy the pokemon", and the answer is Mewtwo. Well done steak being OG Mewtwo and ketchup being its megas.
If we're talking games, it's gotta be RS. You had perfect games until Crystal, and you had to pour contests on top. Even if I ignore them (take off the ketchup), it still leaves sort of a bad taste.

Last week for me. How the heck can you call them perfect? At the very least you have to concede that the characters are shallow at best and that adding Megas at gym 3 breaks the game's power progression in half. I personally had to call it quits just after the end of the Team Flare plot because I needed to reconfirm for myself if Hau really is on the same level of bad as Trevor/Tierno/Shauna like people kept telling me (just got to Island 3 on my Moon replay and no, he's not nearly as bad as those three were in my experience).
I have way more to say against XY, but I will say that I enjoyed the Battle Chateau immensely and wish something like it could've returned in every future game.
