haven't played since BW but i still check Serebii and /vp/ multiple times a day just to see what's up and for the nostalgia. i also keep up with the competitive scene and watch speedruns/nuzlockes/etc cause i just can't let this series go. it was too big a part of my childhood/adolescence

Same. The last one I played was HG and I don't think I even finished it, I just built up a lasting affinity for the franchise that outlived any desire to play it. That, and it provides too good a setting to not use for daydreaming.

Yep, I buy every game regardless of what I think about it. I don't think USUM will be anything special but they'd have to go out of their way to personally disappoint me in order for me to not buy it.

Honestly I think it's the pokemon that keep me more then anything.

I'm older now, the only thing I give my time to is the games. The anime is just pointless and even for shonen shit you have better options and the card game seems like a clusterfuck.

Still, I fucking love the pokemon. There are so many who have designs that just appeal so much to me. I know it's a series designed for children and that's fine but it does make me a bit sad playing these games and not getting much out of them in terms of gameplay other then going online and fucking around with some people from here.
