But we all know it was because it only had a year of development. Come to think about it I dots really know why it was rushed. Was it because of Nintendo? Was it because they wanted a new gen to coincidence with the anniversary? Did they just not care about Hoenn since Emerald would eventually get released on the Virtual Console?
