Guzma is my favorite, no questions asked.
I love him because he’s just this ball of pent up anger and frustration, after all those years of trying to accomplish good things in his life and failing. He’s very determined, and shows through his Golisopod. I also love how he realizes that he needs to change his methods and outlook on situations near the end of the game, especially the post-game beach battle. He finally realizes that his old ways weren’t helping him out, and Hala comes in to tell him this, as well. Guzma wants to vecome better, which is why he goes after Hala, which is admirable that he was finally able to admit his weaker points of his personality/training. You really notice he’s calmed down and changed in the Battle Tree. Yeah, he still has his Guzma ways of speaking, but if he lises, he doesn’t flip his lid. He is more accepting of his loss, and has a positive attitude about it. Like I said, in his Guzma way of speaking (involving uses of the words similar to ‘wrecking’).
I just relate to him a lot, like his past and his current self.
I also really live hiw he looks. He has all of the attractive features that make me go gaga. His style of clothing is also pretty awesone, and is the type of stuff I like. He has neat shades, which I have always been a fan of. I have been collecting shades for several years, and my favorites are always the more stylistic ones. I always wear heart-shaped glasses as my default. So I was drawn to Guzma for that reason, as well.
There’s more to it, but I feel like I’ve summarized some basic points to answer this thread.
