>>33647947pretty much this. Ranked is sort of fucked due to the fact that RQ's and lag exists and a lot of competitive players don't even play it that often, so many of them are only in the higher B's themselves despite being top 8 level contenders at majors,so you REALLY shouldn';t be using it as a measure of player skill.... but based on my play in the wiiU version with 5000 matches played:
E-D: People who don't know what they are doing
C: People who still don't really know what they are doing in in terms of optimals/neutral/punishes/tech, but understand the mechanics and systems. Getting through C4, C3, C2, and C1 individually took me as long or longer then it took for me to get through E5-C5. Unless somebody tries to seek out resources, labs, or makes an effort to treally improve and gets into the community, C is as high as they'll get
B: People who know what they are doing. Getting through each rank here is about as hard as getting through C4-C1 combined, and there's a big gap between the lower B's and higher B's.
A tier: Good to great competitive players. The highest i've gotten was A4, and while I can win against really good, top tier competitive players somewhat often online, I still usually don't do that great at my locals
S tier: top of the line players, best in the world.
Keep in mind that really anybody from the high B's up could be a top tier player: You shouldn't take it to be ONLY S tiers are, or that only A tier players are good competitively: Plenty of B ranks are the latter and even a few B ranks are the former. Take it more as "If the player is A/S tier, then they are that good' rather then "all players that good are A/S". So sort of like rectangle vs square.
All of that being said, since DX is new, the ranks are sort of skewed right now and none of the above applies.
