I was raised on Gen II, but these game kinda sucks....For how much I bitcedh about the hand holding in the new games, i'd rather have that than the incredible lack of....."everything" these older games have.

1. Hardly any pokemon
2. your box actually "fills up" and you have to throw stuff away or sell it
3. The PC has bare bones features when viewing items or pokemon
4. The game is slow as molasses and you have to get about an hour into the game just to get a bike thats only marginally faster, and it doesn't take that long because its far away, it takes that long because you walk sooo friggin' slow.
5. I'm trying to piece together a team skimming through serebii's Gen II section, and all the pokemon have absolutely atrocious movepools. Hardly anyone gets stab for anything and for most pokemon you'll find yourself keeping moves like "tackle" all the way up to the E4 because they can't learn anything of value.
5. and speaking of learning moves i've gotten spoiled with reusable TM's.
6. and probably a more minor complaint....not getting experience from catching a pokemon.

and those are just complaints off the top of my head. I guess I have to apologize to most of you because I was clearly blinded by nostalgia.
