On a related note, Noctowl walls Morty's Gengar 100% in HGSS. Like, it actually cannot touch best bird at all. If you really want to humiliate Morty, you can just keep Roosting until Gengar runs out of Sucker Punch and then proceed to kill it with Confusion while being immune to both Hypnosis and Shadow Ball.
