I also wait for Pikachu to get an alternate evolution that actually looks more directly like Pikachu (such as keeping yellow as the primary color and not being as fat), and for that to get a Mega evolution

Honestly I do like it's design but just sadly has no redeemable value competitively sadly.

The only way possible I think it could be saved was if it got Quiver Dance, and some secondary typing (maybe bug?) and other offensive moves.

but even then, it would take A FUCKING LOT to save it.

Yep, and it's the only Storm Drain Pokémon with Tailwind in doubles. It has some nice niches. But quiver dance wouldn't hurt
