5, first got into it with Kanto, but first game was Hoenn, age 9. Up to that point I was stuck with Ashnime and reading game guides because of Fox-News-induced parental worry.

HGSS. As they were my first games and as I was a retarded teenager, I didn't take proper care of my copy of Heartgold OR Soulsilver. Both barely work now... RIP 150~ dollars if I want to get them back.

Same, though I started with pretty much everything outside of the games and manga. My first Pokemon games were Stadium and Snap, but I watched the show, collected the cards and toys, and was generally obsessed from the very beginning.

Didn't get a main series game until Gen 2, though.

I think I was like 10 to 12-ish, started out with Ruby version. Still remember catching Rayquaza on the bus during a field trip and all of us being hyped about it.

I actually don't remember.I know that I watched a Pokemon movie when I was 3-4,but I don't remember which one (1st,2nd or 3rd movie)I began playing the games when I was 11(after I got my first PC).

7. Got an N64 with puzzle league and Snap at a flea market. Eventually got Stadium, a GB player, and Yellow. Went through Yellow, Red, Blue, Gold, Silver and Crystal all within that year and next, getting Ruby and Sapphire for Christmas the following year.
