There's nothing inherently with some types being rarer or more common than others. Most things in our world generate differences like this naturally.

That said, the lack of balance in terms of power and competitive usability of Ice as a whole is entirely rectifiable.

Why does ice need a buff? The types don't have to be balanced. If you go into battle as something fragile like ice or small and weak like a bug, you should expect to lose.

There are 4 ice types in OU and UU. Kyurem-B, Ninteales-Alola, Mamoswine and Weavile. And out of those, only two are good BECAUSE of their ice type. Kyurem get by due to its absurd stats, while Ninetales is only use for Aurora Veil.

We just need MORE fast, offensive Ice and Rock types and less slow, "defensive" ones.

And why is Ice still a "late game" type? Why can't they put in more early game Ice types?
