Typically I use Reddit or Discord groups.

Decided this might be an interesting place to see another part of the community.

I'm new to /vp/ and 4chan in general, though /vp/ seems pretty tame to the other subs.

Leaks are one thing I do like to read about here, even if they're fake it is funny to make fun of the OP.

It's nothing big, one is dedicated to another game series but currently we're waiting between game releases, so the off topic channel is full of Pokemon usually.

Other one I'm in is a dedicated Pokemon one but honestly it's just me and three other friends. It's pretty dead, they're European and I'm American so time zones make it even worse.

Once USUM comes out it'll be more active though, at least.

I don't really know any dedicated Pokemon Discords that are very active.

That Giratina one sounds neat though, might have to go find it.

As much as I get tired of shitposts, there seriously isn't any better Pokemon forums that I know of.

Gamefaqs is straight-up worse than /vp/. More dedicated forums like Serebii are pretty much dead. And r/pokemon is nothing but fucking worthless fluff. "Look guys my girlfriend made Pikachu cupcakes!!!" Like who the fuck CARES? So where else do I go? Fucking Youtube comments?

At least this place has some fun threads like Trainer Card threads, and the Dragonflycave and Favorite Pokemon Generator stuff.

I legitimately love pokemon as a franchise and it's something that when I think about it I calm down and stop being so stressed all the time because generally I am wound tighter than a grandfather clock the night before the ball.

Even if you guys just want to be a bunch of horrible assholes, it doesn't matter because I can still talk about pokemon whenever I want. I've also learned a good deal about the more competitive aspects of the game since /vp/ began.

Also I like coming here during leak season. If the leaks are real or if they're fake, /vp/ will be talking about it.

Honestly? Because I got sick of other Pokemon forums. They used to be fun, but now they're rampant with smug people and Tumblrinas (especially Pokecommunity). It's practically impossible to make friends in those places nowadays, because people and staff there are just so haughty and always assume non-issues.

And nowadays, I honestly get really anxious whenever I'm on a website where I'm required to have a username. I know /vp/'s not the best place for Pokemon discussion, but choosing to stay anonymous and the lack of prissy people here makes me comfortable.

I managed to do the impossible and jump off that ride but imedeatly land on the ride of /vp/ because my best friend got me back into Pokemon after being away from it for 5 years. I don't know if I'd still be here if it weren't for /vpmd/. I might pop by for Showderp every now and again, but /vpmd/ anon makes the best content this board has had in a long while.
Other than that I like to see some competitive discussion that isn't as boring as the stuff on Smogon, and /vp/ throws up a few interesting threads every day.
