Skyward Sword for example has some great pieces in it but almost all of the ambient tracks fall short of what came before because the orchestra can't make a memorable melody. Mario has had better luck in Galaxy and Kingdom Battle but the big band from 3D World is still the most fitting. You don't need an orchestra for every track, you can have an eclectic mix of stuff.

That being said, I have no confidence in TPCi getting the job done for Pokemon, absolutely laziest English voice direction out of any studio of note. Richard Epcar is a great voice actor and he sounded like he had no idea where the fuck he was in Generations.
