/vp/ DOES raise some legitimate points on the pokemon franchise's issues, but promptly exaggerates them to the point of parody and refuses to admit they're growing up, and just as much, more cynical as they get older. IE - that a ton of newer pokemon designs and characters are ones they'd eat up if they were younger and these designs are indeed as good currently as earlier mons were back then. The same goes for some game design aspects as well.

I don't mind threads that ask on /vp/ers or light social threads since clearly many boardgoers are regulars, but I do think the occasional falseflagger or hater helps keep the board from getting too cozy or non-anon with each other and thus defeat the point of being a 4chan board.

That said, any time tits are posted are good times.

Incineroar would be completely fine in the fanbase's eyes if it was quadruped, even if they kept the flame belt for the wrestler gimmick and proportions otherwise. Same for if Samuwott stood up 100% of the time but kept short hind legs as a contrast. Pokemon fandom used to draw/write mons as acting animalistic even if they stood up on two legs despite being based on a 100% quadruped animal, I don't know where this disappeared over the years.

If you're gonna "immerse" yourself in the Pokemon world for worldbuilding/roleplay purposes, using a legendary in your team marks you as a huge fucking faggot. Gameplay-wise on competitive or Showdown or VGC, go nuts as long as it's within the rules. I used to think more than one starter was the same way but I'll bump it to two since there's so many now.

The Pokemon games, in terms of experience, have gotten worse every new release. We love the old Pokemon that was new and exciting to us and have no problem shelling out the 40-60 dollars needed to buy the new games. The price seems cheap to us even when deep down, we know it's just an attempt to keep the Pokemon we know alive in our hearts.

Zinnia is the best character in the franchise. She essentially a religious death seeker who wants to save worlds that she knows exist. Her actions in the Delta episode are extremely intelligent from her side of everything, considering that if she tried to work with everyone, she'd be labeled as a lunatic nutjob.

Sun and Moon were great games, partially because of how story focused they were. The cutscenes weren't terrible in the slightest, and Lillie as a character isn't all that bad.

Pokemon doesn't need to have an extensive post game, thanks largely to the fact that games are released almost on a yearly basis.

It barely works for Zelda but it works because it's a series meant for exploration and it's action based. Pokemon games, let alone any random encounter RPG games are shitty for that aspect because random encounters will break the flow of exploring.

Pokemon attacking trainers in tall grass is dumb for a few reasons if Pokemon are thought to be like animals. They should just run away most of the time, especially if they are hit. Animals also get used to humans very quickly and should just avoid humans in the wilds if plenty come through their route/cave/whatever.

I like Zinnia, but I don't think so. She was hyper aggressive and acted like a dick to people, and just expected everyone to believe her without proof. I can get that she wanted to do things on her own instead of waste time on people who wouldn't believe her, but her actions are so erratic, and she's intentionally obtuse and obstructive.

I'm sure Steven would have at least let her try out her plan if she came to him earlier. Like he literally would have nothing to lose if he did.
