Do you think GF has stored somewhere the software of early gold/silver demo?
I know they will never release it, yet I've always wanted to play it, even if i know it's probably "old trash". It's so rare I wish i had a chance to try it.

probably not

young software companies, especially in that era, are really bad at version tracking and archiving.

that demo was probably just added to or reworked into the actual gold and silver

And even if they had found it/was separate from the final product, that demo would atmost only be Johto, since Kanto was added late in development

If anything it probably was a really short demo. Most likely 5 badges, no LoR, Mt. Silver, Kanto, RoA, or Cianwood City

And I agree to both. Just— They used the demo during an actual event, so it must have been saved on some support other than internal testing. I still wonder if something could have the original demo to dump from... I know it's basically just theory, and that most likely we'll never get anything, but this very screenshot was posted online YEARS after we've heard about Honoguma.
