It's a nice idea OP, but honestly, it's pointless. For starters Game Freak is obviously a Japanese developer, so why would they give a shit about what westerners think? Secondly; Pokemon will always sell and make money no matter what. Casuals and little kids will always buy into it. It makes no difference if the game is good or bad.

It's unrealistic, but if sales significantly dropped for USUM, they'd definitely put way more effort into the Switch games.

Does it have enough to warrant an additional $40 purchase? Probably not. But there never has been. Which is why I was so in love with BW2, even besides the fact that it was a good game. I thought we were finished with this fucking cancerous "third version" model.
