>>33694706Because gen. 5 was a soft reboot of the series and in doing so, there was all new pokemon for the first time without there being evolutions of others and all that, so the trend followed with the next two gens. the only exception being Eevee, obviously, but even then, it was just a marketing gimmick for the Fairy type.
