I really want to like Pokken, I really do; the gameplay looks great and it has some cool and quirky mons... but the one unforgivable thing is that when you have a possible pool of 700+ mons to draw from, why in the hell would you ever go for a costumed version of an existing mon and program an utterly different moveset for it, rather than add a different mon that is more suited?
At the time it may have seemed like a good promotion for the costume pikas, but now a gen later it feels like a bit of an embarrassing relic.
Anyone have anything to say that would change my mind on this? I really wanted to like this game but any pokemonx2 in a roster this size (I get it, its a first foray with the IP) at the expense of unique mon is despicable and just, lame.
Hawlucha must have been a popular enough mon, it had the the honor of being main team in the anime, its colourful and full of personality. Why did they do this to poor birb?
