Explosion needs to run off highest attack stat, special attacking bombs, how does that change the meta?

We could just get a new move that's basically Special Explosion; Implosion.

Never understood why Explosion was Physical beyond the split, though. I get that Normal was Physical until then, but after that I don't really see why it didn't change to Special.

Maybe because most exploders were physical attackers.

The split is cancer anyway.

yeah but leaf blade became physical when most mons that had access to it at the time were better special attackers
