There's just not much to be excited about. That's not me bashing the games, it's just inevitable with a third version. The new gen hype is a lot bigger because everything is new, whereas the hype for this game is in the small things like if there will be new alolan forms, a battle facility etc. I think these will be good games, probably better than the last few due to being a third version, but they're not *exciting* games.

Only minor exciting thing is two UBs and surfing. I kinda feel like they're being secretive about something, but mostly I feel like they hardly have anything to show. New map of Alola seems to just show the region at a different point of the day to make it seem fresh and new to an average fan, where if the water was the blue from last time it would make it apparent hardly anything has changed.

SM2/USUM tells another story
SM3 will tell the story of these two realities colliding and play more with the Ultra Beasts.

It will be followed by two more games next winter with the Pokemon Switch game being released in summer 2019.

I'm pretty hyped though, the mantine surfing looks fun and I like the new pokemon. Though I'm looking forward more to the 3D platformers coming out in the coming month.

There are literally TWO things that fans actually want, and we'd be happy if we only got just ONE:

A new battle facility

This plus they’ve given us no spoilers, no real previews accept a small handful, so we don’t even know enough to be excited. Without some new news about changes/additions/etc everyone is just expecting a less shitty s&m, and less shitty than s&m means it might be a 5/10 at best. News would help hype.
