Yea, I'm glad I left to go be a VGC Cuck back when XY dropped.

I'm honestly fine with Smogon, but everytime they make a ban and use the "it's over centralizing" excuse, it drives me in-fucking-sane.

Stealth Rocks as literally dominated the meta since gen 4, but that's totally not over centralizing.

It's a requirement to have an entry hazard setter and a defogger, yet they can't even realize how over centralizing that is.

I don't know, but a switch meta does sound problematic, and I guess SR does prevent that.

that said, I still don't agree with SR being this prevalent for like a decade.

There is not a single thing wrong with banning Arena Trap. It's a degenerate ability that has so little counterplay and is easy as fuck to use. It also helps stall which is easly the worst playstyle.

Do you know what was used before stealth rock was a thing? Spikes. That has existed since gen 2.

The problem with stealth rock is that it's learned by several pokes and the move itself is unbalanced as fuck. Without SR there are still ways to break sashes/multiscale, like weather, spikes, or multiple hit moves

Well, I did say I left Smogon singles to go to VGC when XY came out, so it's a given that I could be wrong about team formats.

Point still stands though, SR is way too over centralizing.
