Am i wrong in believing he possibly had just assumed there were new Alola forms? Lets say he knew there was a new Lycanroc, the new UBs, and the legendaries. I feel like he might have known which new things existed, but could not have really known what would NOT exist, if that makes sense.

This was back in early development, so he could have assumed that, since he saw this handful of pokemon, that there would be more implemented before release.

If we had any real leakers at all, they should have told me they were going to go fucking even further in the direction of a cutscene fest about saving the world. This is precisely what was wrong with SM and they doubled down on it instead of fixing what was wrong with Alola.

My "wishlist" for gen 8 is that Game Freak stops fucking up in general.

Asides from guessing the names, I believe the 2nd biggest for this leak is guessing Lusamine's role. The established villain of a generation has never really changed regarding 3rd versions, but in this we really do see hints that Lusamine won't be the antagonist this time. I'd say that's a pretty substantial part of this leak regarding its validity.

Mons get designed long before they get put into a game and we know they've been working on the Switch game since around between ORAS and S/M's release.

If they look like new forms of existing mons, they could easily be for whatever the new region is, or even Sinnohan forms.
