Can somebody explain to me the appeal of Halloween? I never liked it because I always found horror-related things to be boring, and yet I see people left and right going nuts over it. Help an anon out and explain why

For me, it's not necessarily Halloween, just the idea of Autumn being the season where things start dying as we transition into winter.

Morbidly beautiful imo.

And I have an excuse to watch a shit ton of horror movies I never got around to watching.

Me too, I also downloaded a bunch of freeware, mostly shitty-looking, indie horror games, I don't know why I just want the cheese factor to the max.

Huh, that's actually interesting. Autumn's my favorite season because things do start to slow down and die until spring arrives. I haven't thought of Halloween that way, but now that you mentioned it I can understand the appeal of it better. Thanks for the explanation, bro.
