I don't remember RS teleporting me up mountains and railroading me from unnecessary cutscene to unnecessary cutscene where the only semi-meaningful gameplay interactions involved "trials" where you find the thing and press A and sometimes fight a boss. I remember actually exploring some cool caves and dungeons, some pretty great routes, secret bases being comfy and everything.

I guess I just don't love Lillie enough to like SM in any capacity.

People are sketched out by US/UM because B2/W2 was a let down to a lot of people. Some stopped playing the series past that all together because they thought it jumped the shark. We all want another Crystal or Emerald where things change, features get added and we learn a bit more about the world we were running around in for two years.
