It's a regular gym by comparison- the bright colors, the gimmick, the trainers, the upbeat music It's all there. Any impact the original had is completely lost.
>more advanced gymsBrock's gym is a straight line with two trainers. Erika's gym is just a bunch of overhanging flowers. Gameplay-wise Blaine's gym is in the the same neighborhood of complexity. You deal with Blaine's the same way you deal with every other gym, -- by beating trainers, dealing with the gimmick -- and that's the difference. It's the same thing with a minor different coat of paint that the trainers spell out for you, while in G/S/C the impact is IMMEDIATELY apparent.
