When USUM were first announced I wasn't hyped at all because SM are my least favorite Pokemon games (they're not bad but definitely mediocre even if they brought some cool additions and changes). Then I heard about the new UBs, the new villainous team, Ultra Megalopolis, visiting different Ultra Spaces, traveling through space with Solgaleo/Lunala, Mantine surfing, the storyline being different with more focus on Necrozma and UBs and so on and so on and now I'm kind of hyped. I'm pretty certain that USUM are going to be a lot better than SM.
