Do you guys search for natures in your playthrough. I started doing it but I don't know if I will carry on because its long

Not anymore, I did it for Gen 3 and 4, then realized how stupid and unnecessary it is so I stopped, I don't worry too much during the main story.

I only avoid hindering natures
like if a pokemon in playthrough has a neutral nature or a nature that doesn't really affect anything important, I'll keep it.

Before SM no, now if the Pokemon doesn't have any worthwhile Egg Moves I'll keep an eye out to at least have a Nature that doesn't outright hinder it.

I started looking for positive natures only but I'm recently playing SM so its worth it. I dont know about any other gen (OP)

That's what i do as well. That and EV training are not really necessary in-game, unless it's an absolute shitmon, but i do it anyway, who know why.

Yeah, I'm guilty of doing this all the time. I always make sure that the nature I get either raises the highest stat of a Pokemon or a neutral nature. If I get something garbage like a Quiet nature Starly, it gets released.

I'll occasionally calc IVs too. Really low IVs ill look for another. I won't usually ev train unless it's kanto/hoenn cuz I know off the top of my head the ev yeild of the pokemon in those regions. Never any actual ev spreads either. Just a good 50-100 evs in a few stats.

I guess I play kinda weird, but like to actually spend time training my pokemon like I would if it were me irl. The four pokemon limit is to force me to use some strategy beyond minmax my party and load them up with coverage moves.
