I have a theme every run and base them off character traits from a book I recently read. My last run was based off of the Mistborn trilogy.

Yes. I also don't nickname them and don't meticulously plan out my party or write fan fiction or create fan art or care about their nature or quirks.

I don't actually care about the Pokémon themselves. I play it as a JRPG.
