>>33764042Oh, the thread was archived, I'm gonna repost it I think:
Initially when someone asked why there wasn't a "light" type some time ago they received the answer that psychic is light type. I thought that answer was smart. But thinking about it now this doesn't add up at all.
Dark type is not (just) a "mean guy" type, it's about actual darkness, too. So, here's the thing that doesn't work out: No matter what, the greatest darkness can be defeated by the smallest of lights.
Necrozma might be a force beyond just light/dark.
Light and Dark are a dichotomy. Without Light darkness cannot exist. So, if Necrozma steals the light (=day -> sun) of a universe it also steals the darkness(=night -> moon). Necrozma might be stealing the light as in, we see that Necrozma takes our light.
What I think Necrozma actually does is stealing the life energy of a universe. The recon squad might have survived by an inch, possibly with the help of Kommo-O's scales that are used to illuminate the city, so they are left to tell us what happened to them. Or at least, what they see what happened to them.
They tell us: "Necrozma stole our light." But what does Necrozma actually do?
Necrozma can kill an entire universe at will.
This would also explain Necrozma sucking at those flowers of Nebby:
Plants _need_ the day and night cycle. At night they only do cellular respiration only to survive.
At day, plants do photosynthesis to provied the rest of the ecosystem with air to breath - air, we need to survive.
A plant in itself is a symbol of life. If plants were to die off this planet, all other life would be soon to follow.
Necrozma isn't eating the plants' life. This would also explain their eery glow.
No, it's sucking every bit of energy out of those flowers. It sucks the energy out of the flowers just like it will suck the energy out of everything else.
