Going through BW first does take quite a bit more time, and you may not enjoy having to go through some of the same areas again, same can also be said for the Unova pokemon as well, but BW2 also adds more pokemon from other regions.
On the upside, a lot of stuff from BW2 will make more sense, and you'll unlock the memory link stuff. However, that's almost entirely story-based stuff so you may not give a shit about it.
While almost all the locations in BW are present in BW2, it is a bit of a different experience going through them at very different points in the game. The first game having Unova pokemon only is a downside to many, but some (including myself and another anon here) actually quite like it.
It's up to you, really. BW2 is a better game, but depending on your tastes, playing BW beforehand can either make it more boring or make it even better.
