I was when they announced that there would be third version games, but after seeing those trailers I'm scared that they might be a shitshow like Sun & Moon were. They're already bringing trials back, so that's not a good sign to start. And I'm not sure why they would make TWO third version games, so that's not a good sign either...

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to be hyped for USUM. The gameplay is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the enjoyment will go over a typical player's head.

I did mean to type "the Pokemon equivalent of a nuke" but I just didn't care enough to delete the post and try again. So tell me, what's the fun of using legendaries during the main campaign? To me, it seems like it just makes an easy game even easier. It doesn't help that they are usually introduced so late that I don't really care about them in the first place. Nebby seemed like GF's way of introducing a legendary, if you would call it that, much earlier but I felt it was too much of an annoying little shit.

Everytime I try to play Sun i always drop it. Game looks and run like utter shit. I know Pokemon games aren't known for the graphics but aesthically Sun and moon look like garbage

Dialogue cut scenes and railroading also unappealing. It's always hype with trailers and shit but game itself it's boring

I haven't played a third version since crystal. It surprises me that given how cynical /vp/ is with the arrival of a new gen (what should be the most exciting time of all), this board eats that fucking shit up without a second thought.

Legendaries aren't inherently better than most mons, outsid of the box legends.

You mentioned UBs, which are among the weaker legends, and are worse than a lot of regular mons.

UB have like 35 more BST than your starters, come the fuck on. They have less BST than EVERY other legendary bar Phione, Cosmog and Cosmoem.

I know there are some legendaries available in the main game, the legendary birds of Kanto, the Regis of Hoenn, and the Musketeers of Unova come to mind, but what other legendaries are available in Alola? Zygarde is the only one I can think of at the moment and finding all of the cell spots is too tedious when you can just catch something else and train it up.

I tried to get excited but I just couldnt do it. Truth to be told I only played Sun and Moon because they got rid of a scappy mechanic with the HM, and just like the reusable TM in gen 5, I wanted to see if it made the games more enjoyable for me. It did, dont get me wrong, but I dont see any similar change in USUM that makes me want to play a very similar game twice.

I suppose I will just wait until the nintendo Switch game and see if they bring a similar change to the whole franchise.
