There are some awkward things about it in the same vein as the two Nidoran having different dex numbers.

Like, canonically Sivally exists before type Null (as Type: Full or Código Entero in Spanish) bit then they need to 'imprison' it into Type: Null (Código Cero).

So the fact that T:N evolves back into Silvally in very weird. Arent they the same pokemon? I feel like the only reason this happens and they take 2 dex slots is so they wanted to give them different names.

Type: null is mostly an imprisoned Silvally. If the trainer gets close to it, it finds a way to free itself from what makes it that way. That also explains why it's not breedable because it also wouldn't make for something to be born imprisoned, and not only because it is a kimera.

It's easy one of the coolest new Pokémon. I really wish it could be more viable, but it is still balanced in many ways so is still something to look up for (for those who like it)

No it isn't? Silvally has to equip memories. Full can change at will. Type:Null/Silvally is a failure, but Silvally grew stronger thanks to its trainer. Type:Full will probably never exist.

After seven generations and they love opening these kinds of shitty misuses of concepts; given Gamefreak's throbbing boner for forms I'm utteraly mind boggled at why the fuck this isn't just a form. I love Type: Null. Wish it didn't evolve. Silvally just feels so wrong as an evolution and they didn't even make it strong enough to be "Arceus that's usable in formats where it's banned" to justify its existence.
