I get where they're coming from with Dhelmise, and as it is, I really like it, but I feel the seaweed that is supposedly the pokemon should have more to it. I don't know. I like it much more when I think about it as a possessed anchor with seaweed stuck in it.
Maybe giving the seaweed some special animations would fix it?

I dunno, at least it's not a waifu. I probably wouldn't use it though. It would have had a great sprite I bet, but its 3D model along with most of the other mon looks like fucking garbage.

I'm in the same boat as you. The seaweed seems uncharacteristically devoid of any personification compared to other objectmons. I always see the compass on the anchor as an evil eye, and the hook of the anchor almost like a mouth with jagged teeth in the weed overlaps.

Oh you.
Yeah, I see it the same as you do. And they really should have given more personality to the seaweed. They already did an excellent job with the attack animation, why not go all the way? Or at least clarify that the spirit possess both the anchor and the seaweed at the same time, both being a the "main body" now. That way, it still has an excuse to be ghost/grass while making it easier to give it some personality.

I like the design and concept of an anchor of a sunken ship re-animating as a Ghost Pokemon.

But it really should've just dropped the stupid "it's the algae!" shit, been made of metal, and just been Water/Ghost with Steelworker. God please just give me a Water/Ghost that isn't a complete fucking joke like Jellicent.

I like it, but i'm mad we will never get to see its true appearance. Like it would've been perfect if you hit it in refresh that it shows its real "face" out of anger or maybe just a soul coming out of the seaweed. Just something to connect with it more than it literally just being a bunch of seaweed garbage tied to an anchor out of grudge.

One of my favorite Alola and Ghost Pokemon, which is saying a lot because I don't like Ghost types. It has a unique design, some interesting lore and its height just makes it all-round menancing. I really would love to train one, but it comes so late in the adventure.
