I wholeheartedly enjoy Sun & Moon better, actually, it's one of my favorite seasons overall. We'll see how the Aether plot compares to the Flare arc but yeah.

The art style had to grow on me, which it did, heavily, but I won't lie like it's not a drastic change and I can understand that some people just can't adapt.

Good because I welcome the more slapstick, exaggerated style of SM. XY wasn't nearly as insipid as BW or DP, but it came close

Literally the only reason why I’m watching SM is because Brock and Misty came back and the Aether arc started, and for some reason the amount of slapstick has been toned down to balance it out with plot

Which is all I ever wanted.

Hadn’t watched the anime in ages. Like, since I was 10 or so. With Brock and Misty returning and the Aether plot starting, I watched the three most recent episodes this weekend. + videos of Ash vs Hala and Olivia

After that I watched the entire Sinnoh league and the two episodes afterwards. I found myself enjoying the SM episodes better. The humor was better in SM. DP’s only ‘jokes’ were the stupid rhymes Team Rocket kept making. And the battles in SM were much, MUCH better when compared to DP’s, which were still alright.
