Just beat the game. Lots of close calls but I still managed to beat the E4 in one run.

Managed to finesse the battle against Lance by using Agility+Baton Pass with Girafarig and then passing to Politoed. Politoed tanked the Hyper Beam from Dragonite and I used X Special during the recharge. Annihilation commenced.

About to take on Morty, it'll probably go fine, I got two normal types and I don't think Morty can actually touch them. Trying to get Eevee to friendship evolve, but who knows how long that'll take.

This is probably my ideal end-game team, but it's hard because gen 2 has so many of my favorites. Getting Lapras is gonna be a pain though. Also might skip Dragonite or use it post-Elite Four.
Some other ones I'm definitely gonna try to use on the way because I also really like them

Notable pokemon after the league are Houndour/Larvitar/Slugma/Misdreavus/Murkrow/Sneasel. Half of those are at Mt Silver so it's not technically Kanto

Currently storming the Radio Tower, it's refreshing to see Pokemon like Corsola, Ledian, Delibird and Sunflora shine in their own ways. Very glad I decided to do a run using mostly terrible Pokemon (well okay, Furret and Hypno I just wanted to use regardless).
