Anon, while BW2 was bad it certainly wasn't worth ending the series over. Gen 6 did a good job running things back and actually innovating after BW/2's failure.

Because it sold like ass and they had to redeem themselves.

Also the 3DS was selling like poop compared to the DS so you just know someone at Nintendo stopped by and started prodding them along to make a Pokemon game for 3DS.

It has a lot of features which is good I guess but Platinum and B2W2 are still way better because they don't have horrendous balancing. There are romhacks the fix it but from a gameplay perspective hgss sucks.
