The designs are extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of character design most of the designs will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Incineroars heel wrestler outlook, which is deftly woven into it's characterisation- it's personal philosophy draws heavily from Tiger Mask story, for instance. Tigerbros understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these designs, to realise that they’re not just great- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Gen sevens designs truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the design of Primarina as a whole, which itself is a cryptic reference to mermaids, sirens, my soulmate, and the 2014 epic "Song of the Sea." I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Ohmari's genius wit unfolds itself on their 3DS or computer screens. What fools.. how I pity them.
