well for one it didn't have hour long cutscenes, there was the sinnoh underground, gym leader/trainer rematches, battle frontier still counts, contests, I can still go on if you want me too.

You know what gimmick this gen would've made USUM so much more fun to play? Alolan Forms.

UBs that will almost certainly be unobtainable during the story, or at best near the end, hardly matter. At least ORAS added in more megas to use during the game to add some variety. GF could have put in more Alola forms, as everything outside of Kanto is missing representation.

but the only thing that would usum is by having more new pokemon that are available during the story. I don't want to keep a charjabug or crabrawler on my team only to evolve them at the very end of the game.

USUM is the only third game that adds Pokemon, period. Even the new ORAS choices were limited to 2/3 starters, Sableye, Glalie, Altaria and Steelix, which isn't exactly optimal.

We don't even know anyway, wait a week or two/until definite info/the game comes out so whoever is right can shut up the other definitely..

Literally the only reason to get Ultra is because of the UBs and I can just skip to the next new game and get them off GTS.
