There are only 18 Alolan forms, and all of them are from Gen 1. So if there isn't any more than this is a perfect example of wasted potential.
Christ, only in the Pokemon fandom do you find fans legit autistic enough to actually defend having less content in their games.

Regional variant forms are too good a concept to drop after Gen 7, I'm hoping that they do more for Gen 8 onwards rather than GF it and drop a good concept just because they want each Gen to feel unique.

Because they introduced more Megas in ORAS. Why not do the same in USUM? Especially since it basically sounds like they're swapping out all the old Pokemon that were available in the original Sun and Moon.

Seriously, we get some new Alolan Forms and I'm ready to go.

As long as the story itself is good and as long as there is one of the following:
A. More solid Pokemon Balancing/No Legendaries so VGC is without them.
B. New UB's/New Pokemon species.
C. More post game content such as Dream Park/Battle Frontier/Post game Missions (not just a little bit like we had in SM but for way longer)

Then I'm totally fine, that's all I'm asking for.

Yes, SM uses that kind of over the top stylized gag shots quite frequently. I personally find it funny, especially when it's Team Rocket, but many just find it annoying.

Megas are abominations. The absolute biggest mistake the franchise ever made in terms of mechanical changes. Regional variants are a genius move that keeps older Pokemon relevant without the need for a major power creep.

I don't care about the competitive or power creep, I just want cool/cute/over the top monsters. Most megas are amazing design-wise while others turned crappy Pokémon into absolute beasts.

Exactly how I feel about them. Megas aren't permanent evolutions so their designs can be really crazy and impractical. Plus if a pokemon you like gets a shitty mega it's only a mega. Unless you want to mega evolve there's no big deal. They're better than just making cross gen evolutions for old pokemon and it sucks that we'll probably never see them again.

The vast majority of Pokemon that got alolan forms are shitmons. The only exceptions would be Ninetales and Raichu
