I like to think that when Looker and Anabel moved into the room, Looker secretly adopted it as his new partner Pokémon.

He was lacking a partner Pokémon, now he has one that looks decievingly innocent but can tackle you to the fucking ground if it needs to.

I know, and it is hinted at in X/Y that it died. Therefore, he was lacking a partner Pokémon. Anabel outright states in S/M that it’s too dangerous for him to go out without a partner Pokémon while the UBs are loose.

The Stufful is in the hotel room before Looker and Anabel arrive. They move in and Stufful disappears. They move out and Stufful never reappears. Who’s to say Looker didn’t adopt the little guy?

My headcanon is that Looker in the future will have an Audino, and the Looker we find in ORAS is from the future, I can add a Stufful to the plot

On the Looker missions it is talked about how Looker used to have a "bluish purple partner". They also say his partner died.

One of the looker missions in XY, there's a picture of him and his croagunk and interacting with it brings up some text that says something happened to it. Since Looker no longer has his croagunk with him, a lot believe that it died.
