Should every game have an easy, normal, and challenge mode available for selection when starting the game for the first time?

Of course it should. The 19-24 bracket is actually the largest sales demo for Pokemon, and has been since BW, it's time the games reflect that.

it would literally solve all their problems with trying to balance everything in the game to be easy enough for little kids to get through and still offer some form of difficulty for older players (we all know the nihilego in SM flees the battle because it'd be too hard for kids otherwise)

Fun fact: Easy mode is actually a second hard mode. The apparently lowered levels are actually the same as normal mode for all purposes except for exp gain. So all Easy mode does compared to Normal mode in practice is give you less exp for fighting the same enemies.

Yes. Might be nice if one of the modes allowed for more hidden ability Pokémon to be found in the wild naturally. Not sure if it should go to easy to give more options for play (and incentivize better players to even touch the mode) or challenge mode as a perk for picking a higher difficulty.

There should also be a "no instruction" mode, which cuts out most early game NPC interactions (scanning your pokebank... oh, you all ready know how to catch Pokemon, run, breed, use bottle caps, use HMs and TMs, prevent evolutions, use evolution items, etc. Etc etc... We'll just skip that.

They would probably give the standard tutorial NPCs some alternate flavor text. Although, it would be pretty funny and a little surreal if they were cut all together so you had these starting towns completely devoid of people.

i'd take 1-3 days to implement a challenge mode for something like USUM
They don't care, recoloring or giving old pokemon extra spikes is more important to them now

On top of adding a Hard Mode, they should add a Ranking system, where you need short time of completion, few Pokemon Centers and items used, no legendaries, high amount of level ups (would encourage using multiple pokemon), no whiteouts and no traded pokemon to get an A rank or something to have on your online profile to show off

it wouldn't take too much too edit the trainers just to raise the pokemon a couple levels and give the important ones slightly better moves and items, that's basically what they did with BW2

I don't know how many hours GF workers spend inside their office but i can assume if you're there even for just 3 hours per day, in these 3 hours you're not going to spend all that time biting your fingernails, in at least a week they job would be pretty much done

A no-tutorial mode wouldn't hurt either. Just strap a conditional variable to every tutorial that disables that shit if you said YES I HAVE PLAYED OTHER GAMES BEFORE JESUS CHRIST when starting a new game.

This might shock you, but only a small percentage of players keep going after the Elite Four for the purpose of competing with other players. It would be a generous estimate at 15%.
