Everyone knows they're going to reuse assets from the 3ds games on the switch and the casuals are going to be asking why it doesn't look like pokken.

The "3DS" models are the same ones used in go, they'll hold up fine in HD.

Literally all they have to do is make a good 3D pokemon game. Just make it like the handheld games but in 3D with some light exploration/RPG aspects.

IT WOULD BE SO FUCKING EASY!!!! And they'd sell billions. They would have to do so little work it's nuts. But I can see them just fucking it all up and then being like "pokemon belongs on handhelds, we will continue making the 2D games :^)" or some bullshit.

The issue isn't the model reuse, the issue is lack of LOD. The 3DS games run like absolute ass because all the models are way too high poly as >>33784074 said.

Since they ARE so high poly, they get to just repaint them with better textures and shading and it will look fine on switch.

SM was the first Generation that didn't introduced a new Trade Evolution Pokémon (with exception of Alolan Golem, which already needed to be traded)
