'18 is actually looking more promising than the fuckup of last year. A top 16 finish at a International grants 200 points whilst a top 32 still nets 160. With the World qualifier limits lowered by 100CP it means a top 32 finish at two internationals grants you a place in Worlds. Or top 32 at a International and top 16 at two Regionals would also do the job.

Most importantly is the cash payout kicker is changed, events only need 200+ entrants for the max payout (previously it was double that at the retarded 500). Whilst cash prizes are only give to the top 16 it at least means it will happen more often.

A few month grace period for the new format lets people shift over to the new format in decent time and a new meta to form.
