As of now we have 15 Ultra Beasts, 3 of them being new to USUM.

Are the three new ones it, or can we expect a couple more?

No, it'd be Marshadow.

Besides, Gen 4 had both Manaphy and Shaymin, so UB Adhesive can be a pixie mythical as well. We already know it'll likely be a mythical since it's dex entry will be after Marshadow, while Burst and Assembly are before Necrozma with the other UBs

They still wouldn't give an ingame trainer a mythical Pokemon. There's been no indication whatsoever that it will be event exclusive, not even in Corocoro (which would usually tease that sort of thing). Just because it's small, bigheaded and floats doesn't mean it's a mythical.

That's just not as likely based off what we know. Even with Dusk Lycanroc, they specified right away that it would be exclusive. They've done nothing like that for Sticky, and they've never given trainers mythicals before (probably because it makes no fucking sense to have a Pokémon marked as "seen" in your 'dex but not have to catch it for completion). Its regional Rex entry could be before Cosmog's for whatever reason.

Why wouldn't Adhesive be with the other UBs between Lunala and Necrozma then? There's only 9 spaces in the new Alola dex. It doesn't make since to put only a few with the older UBs, and one or more after Marshadow.

Put it before Cosmog, then. It's probably encountered early enough, and there's just as much evidence that it will evolve (e.g. none) as there is that it's a mythical.

I don't think so, Zygarde was only in the middle of the dex because of how early you could obtain it. You'd have to catch Adhesive for it to be in the dex, otherwise it'd be displayed as ??? in battle, like the Nihilego from Aether Paradise. (Or the URS will flat out tell you its name.)

How many patterns/set foundations have they been breaking since Gen 5? I wouldn't put it past them.

Besides, AZ Floette would be a similar situation, even if it wasn't used in battle and never got distributed.
