It's controlled by your "friendship with Rotom", so it's just gonna be something similar to those affection bonuses that only work in-game.

Everyone knows halfway through the game, Rotom will be at full friendship. Like any pokemon you carry through for that long.

Has this been confirmed? I need to know.

Theres no reason to believe it wont be in online match-ups or in competitive league play.

Before XY came out, when they announced that Pokémon-amie would allow your Pokémon to randomly avoid attacks sometimes, some people went crazy about how it completely ruins all competitive play

This is the same thing, an in-game mechanic that gives you game-breaking bonuses

It's literally the same thing as the affection bonuses from Pokemon Amie that gave you criticals all the time and shit like that. It's ingame crap you're free to ignore if you want to and that won't be implemented in competitive.

Yeah although i have tried to be on the positive side of usum because the last time i underestimated a third version/enhance/or sequel it was one of my favorites in the series but i didn't play it until years after it had came out so this time i don't want to miss out but i have to say alongside releasing two third versions having two z moves per battle is too fucking much

This isn't randomized though, I understand how Amie and beans worked, but this is Z moves. Something triggered in move selection.

I feel like theres more reason to believe even in comp Rotom will let you use 2 Z moves. Since this can be applied to every cartridge worldwide, and not dependent on ones gameplay choices.

So is it true Gamefreak hates us and wants us to stop playing? I can't imagine the reason for such a ridiculous, overpowering move.

This considering the introduction of UBs.

Well there's alot that the fans have said that i feel they do see but don't care for but thats how i feel and yeah its dumb to say ignorance it would have been better if i said that they know its there but don't know how to deal with it or something to that degree

Is this really one of those instances? I mean, adding UBs and not knowing how powerful they'd be was one thing.

But adding a second Z move option? Thats just either careless or concerted.

The games story mode was easy even before Sun-Moon. Only in comp is it required that you use a pool of certains pokemon to win.

So with that, how could they think giving that pool of mons a second Z move would help battles in any way?

Chill kids, they're simply reintroducing pass powers/O-powers and needed some new one to make them feel fresh.
I'm glad they're tied to rotom and not to the festival plaza, perhaps some other multiplayer feature has been moved to the rotomdex as well

That has nothing to do with the introduction of giving a second Z move.

I liked O-powers and wish Festival hadn't replaced PSS but thats not the issue here.

And comp is part of game, regardless of what I or you want.
