>>33790394The fairy type itself is complete cancer. It took a somewhat dragon-dominated meta and turned it into a very fairy-dominated meta. It made one good type balanced. Yet it buffed already powerful types like steel and fire. While indirectly nerfing weaker types like ice and psychic by being a better dragon / fighting killer respectively.
The design is improving. Most of the fairy types in gen 6 had questionable designs. But gen 7 really had better designs like the Tapus. But excluding them, it seems like nowadays GF just makes anything remotely cute looking fairy types, like Ribombee and Mimikyu. Even though those two have nothing fairy about them other than it's cute looking.
