Mantine Surf thread?

This is one of the things I'm really looking forward too, I've been wanting Surfing between the islands since the beginning and thought that Alola didnt have enough water for a place based on Hawaii, which they definitely fixed now

Actually glad this is in, I wanted a way to surf between the islands and having it be a minigame instead of your typical repel fest is a good change from the norm.

I agree. It looks great and comfy and will allow for more exploration. I don't know what people are talking about when they say USM is just a rehash when it has new clever features like this. Screw the haters. I'm going to buy both Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon to show GameFreak that I love these games and want more just like them.

I want to like the surfing, but I'm biased towards diving and still pretty disappointed it didn't get in. I get that Hawaii in real life doesn't allow for scuba anymore, but it seems so unnatural that so many deepsea watermons are just showing up via fishing only.

I think we might still get diving via Lanturn or Araquanid

They havent talked about PokeRide at all since Mantine so I imagine they have more than just one they've yet to announce

I doubt they will reveal any more Pokerides at this point, much less chance it would be diving after the major reveal of wormhole-travelling. At best there might be some divemons encountered during the Mantine surf or the diver classes sneak up on you beneath surfing waters.

Like maybe been reworked into a surfing race like in the Orange Islands, it suddenly starts to get cloudy, then stormy, and Wishiwashi erupts from the water at the end

Not a Shill, but the Mantine ride is the only thing that I want for the new games.
But buying a pokemon game for a surfing minigame is not worth, so looks like I will not buy it.

I like the inclusion of Mantine surfing too, but if you think it's in any way, shape, or form as important as core gameplay then you're just an idiot.

Or worse a casual more interested in the novelty and cheap thrills than the actual RPG turn based strategy game that Pokémon actually is.

Since theres tentacool and wailords in the water if these will work as wild encounters if we bump into them while surfing, and if we get trainer battles from other surfers or people on sailboats and such
