Giving an old Pokemon a new form was an exciting idea back in the day, especially if it was a Pokemon you liked.

By comparison Z-Moves just aren't as interesting or exciting. In the end it's just a more powerful move. Moves have never been particularly exciting and that didn't change with Z-Moves.

It's not exactly surprising, but still cool. If there's one Pokémon I would have bet on getting a unique Z-Move in USUM, it would be Mimikyu.
